Master of Ceremonies Package
A master of ceremonies (MC) at a wedding is responsible for hosting and coordinating the flow of events throughout the day or evening. Their role is to ensure that the wedding reception runs smoothly and that all planned activities and traditions are executed properly. Here are some key responsibilities of a wedding MC:
-
Introductions: The MC introduces themselves and welcomes the guests to the wedding reception. They also introduce the bridal party, including the parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and of course, the newly married couple.
-
Announcements: The MC makes important announcements throughout the reception, such as when it’s time for dinner, speeches, cutting the cake, and the first dance. They keep the guests informed and guide them through the various events.
-
Facilitating the Reception Program: The MC ensures that all planned activities are carried out according to the schedule. This includes coordinating with the DJ or band to play the right music for each moment, guiding guests to move from one area to another, and keeping the energy and excitement high.
-
Speeches and Toasts: The MC may introduce and organize speeches and toasts given by family members, friends, and the couple themselves. They ensure that the speakers are ready and have the microphone when needed.
-
Wedding Traditions: The MC helps facilitate and explain any cultural or traditional rituals that are part of the wedding celebration. This can include activities like the bouquet toss, garter toss, cake cutting, or any other customs specific to the couple’s background or preferences.
-
Engaging the Guests: A skilled MC engages the guests by incorporating interactive elements, such as games, trivia, or light-hearted activities, to create an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere. They encourage guest participation and ensure everyone feels included.
-
Problem Solving: If any unexpected issues arise during the reception, the MC acts as a problem solver. They handle any last-minute changes, technical difficulties, or other unforeseen challenges to keep the event running smoothly.
Overall, the master of ceremonies plays a vital role in orchestrating the wedding reception, ensuring that the couple and their guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
ALL DAY PROFESSIONAL DJ ENTERTAINMENT – CHOICE OF DELUXE WHITE OR RUSTIC SET UP – All day entertainment, means all day entertainment. I will coordinate with yourself and the wedding planner the entire day of music. This is arrival music, music to you walking down the isle, signing the register and back up the aisle. Providing music throughout the day to keep the vibe and tempo up is crucial to keeping the wedding alive. Music during your breakfast and then finally the evening reception itself. We take care of everything music related. Using us for the entire day, saves on dealing with bands, quartets and additional suppliers. You just deal with US!
VENUE CONSULTATION – MEET AT THE VENUE TO VISUALISE AND DISCUSS YOUR BIG DAY – Venue consultation is vitally important with our Platinum & Deluxe package. There are so many moving parts, it’s important that both parties confirm visually where things will be set up and where things will happen. It also gives us a chance to meet in person before the big day. This again is key to building that trust and relationship with us. It’s our goal for you to feel at ease knowing you have us providing your entertainment.
MASTER OF CEREMONIES – Another VITAL part of the day is the master of ceremonies. Wedding receptions often have a Master of Ceremonies to keep the day running smoothly. This role is sometimes handed to the best man, or another close friend of the groom. The role of the master of ceremonies is simple. It requires us to make a few announcements loudly and clearly as the day progresses. A master of ceremonies is the point of contact for any part of the wedding to make your big day run smoothly The groom may know exactly what he wants these to be, but they usually include some or all of the following:
- Announcing who should be in the formal group photos
- Announcing that dinner is served
- Welcoming the bride and groom into the dining area
- Introducing the father of the bride’s speech
- Introducing the groom’s speech
- Announcing the cutting of the cake
- Introducing the first dance
MUSIC TO WALK DOWN THE ISLE – This sometimes is left to registrar. Which is fine, however they have enough to do during the day. Also a lot of venues during the summer are outdoors and a lot of registrars don’t have the equipment to play the music outside. Leave it to us! We’ve got you covered.
BACKGROUND MUSIC DURING THE ENTIRE DAY – Having music throughout the day is a key aspect of a wedding. After the excitement of seeing you get married, usually you and your partner are whisked off by the photographer and videographer. Leaving your guests interact with one another. It’s at this time of the day where music to keep the day flowing smoothly and upbeat. This may only be ”live lounge” type of music, however, if there is no music played, it can make the wedding feel very flat.
USE OF THE MICROPHONE FOR SPEECHES – Use of microphones for the speeches something people take for granted. Specially in large weddings. It’s important that your guests can hear everyones speeches. We can also allow the videographers to connect to our speakers and record the speeches.
FREE MR & MRS GAMESHOW –Welcome to the all-new Mr & Mrs game show! Back in the 1970s there was a TV game show called Mr and Mrs, where the contestants were asked to answer questions about their partner. If the answers matched, they won! And this got us thinking – how well do you know your own husband or wife? This is a fantastic add on to any of our wedding packages. At the start of the evening Tom will start the game which will create a real buzz in the room. Your guests will be dying to know more once the game has finished. Who knows one another the best? Who is the best cook? Who has the worst habits? All will be found out soon……
FREE PHOTOGRAPHY – We are the ONLY DJ & Entertainment Company that offer this service. Story time: Usually the photographer leaves straight after the first dance. At my own wedding we paid the photographer extra to stay until the very last dance. We wanted to capture every special moment of the evening. Some of own best pictures were when people let their hair down in the evening reception. Then I had the lightbulb moment. Why don’t I buy. a camera, and snap away whilst i’m there. So thats what we have done. No matter how long you book us, we’ll be there to capture the dance floor. We have now provided our services to over 200 weddings and each of them received this FREE offer.
N.B: We must state that we are NOT professional photographers and insist that you should seek a professional. to capture the entire day.
PROFESSIONAL SOUND AND LIGHTING – Our sound & lighting that we provide is to of the highest standard. Our aim with our lighting to achieve elegance. We feel we truly achieve that with our lighting.
FULLY PAT TESTED EQUIPMENT – All equipment is PAT tested equipment which will give you & your venue that peace of mind.
